GGB Slovakia recently received the “Safe Enterprise” award from country’s Ministry of Work, Social Affairs and Family. GGB Bearing Technology, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, opened the 9,000 m2 manufacturing facility in 1994 for the production of its metal-polymer bearings.

A government-sponsored competition identified GGB Slovakia as one of the nation’s 10 safest companies. The primary criteria for the award were the facility’s health and safety management system and its level of achievement within the company. The assessment was based on the requirements of OHSAS 18001, the international standard for occupational health and safety systems.

With the award comes the right for GGB Slovakia to display the “Safe Enterprise” logo pictured above for five years.
