FAG Bearings India disclosed a phenomenal rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2010. During the quarter, the profit of the company rose 90.08% to Rs 314.40 million from Rs 165.40 million in the same quarter previous year.
Net sales for the quarter for the quarter rose 33.59% to Rs 2,723.90 million, while total income for the quarter rose 34.50% to Rs 2,767.30 million, when compared with the prior year period.
It reported earnings of Rs 18.92 a share during the quarter, registering 90.15% growth over prior year period.
Shares of the company gained Rs 20.8, or 2.38%, to trade at Rs 896.30. The total volume of shares traded was 1,797 at the BSE (11.22 a.m., Monday).
