Tristar Plastics is supplying a manufacturer of LCD panels with high-performance oven bearings for the production of large LCD panels for video displays.

Rulon J Bearings have been used as replacements for sealed, lubricated rolling elements in the conveyor rollers within the oven, which is extremely hot and dry.



Since Rulon J requires no lubrication, it can be installed as a direct
retrofit, providing a maintenance-free option to the end user.

Rulon J has very low outgassing in vacuum at elevated temperatures and withstands operating temperatures up to 550F.

Other locations on the processing equipment where Rulon J bearings have been incorporated include pivot and sliding points on load/unload robotic arms, exterior feed rollers and door hinge bearings.

All Rulon materials offer a long service life at PVs up to 10,000 with loads of 1,000psi and speeds of 400sfpm.

The continuous operating temperature for Rulon bearings is -400 to 550F and no lubrication is ever necessary.

Tristar has several other industrial oven applications where Rulon is being utilised, such as in glass manufacturing and Char broil conveying ovens.
