The Schaeffler Group is strengthening its capital markets communications and is setting up a dedicated Investor Relations unit which will be headed by Christoph Beumelburg (42). He will take up this new position on October 1, 2010 and will report directly to Klaus Rosenfeld, Chief Financial Officer of the Schaeffler Group.
Christoph Beumelburg has more than 15 years of experience in financial communications and business management. He joins Schaeffler Group from BASF SE, where he was responsible for its Investor Relations activities in the US. Prior to that, he held various managerial positions within BASF, both in Germany and abroad. Beumelburg studied business and engineering at the Technical University in Kaiserslautern as well as in Lille, France.
Klaus Rosenfeld, CFO of Schaeffler Group, said: “Mr. Beumelburg is a first-class professional with broad international experience in Investor Relations. His appointment represents a further step towards aligning the structures of the Schaeffler Group with the capital markets needs.”
