S N L Bearings swung to profit for the quarter ended June 2010. During the quarter, the company reported profit of Rs 6.50 million compared with a loss of Rs 23.50 million in the same quarter last year.

Net sales for the quarter for the quarter surged 52.87% to Rs 39.90 million, while total income for the quarter jumped 52.87% to Rs 39.90 million, when compared with the prior year period.

It reported profit of Rs 1.33 a share during the quarter compared with a loss of Rs 6.99 a share in previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 1.35, or 2.03%, to trade at Rs 68.00. The total volume of shares traded was 100 at the BSE (3.53 p.m., Monday).
