Tristar's CJ composite bearings are able to operate in demanding environments and are, therefore, suitable for use by manufacturers of mining machinery.

CJ bearings are found on mine lowboys and in the articulating joints of excavators and front-end loaders.

Thanks to their strength and durability, CJs are even a key part of the armour plating used in tunnel ceiling support systems.

CJ bearings are self lubricating and corrosion resistant and are suitable for use in gritty mining environments where routine maintenance schedules may be difficult to maintain.

They are coated in a sealant that can block up to 95 per cent of mining dust particles, which can lead to longer machine wear life.

According to the company, CJ bearings excel in mining applications where traditional metals corrode and fail.
