NN, Inc. ( NNBR) today announced that it has named Frank T. Gentry and James H. Dorton Senior Vice Presidents.
Mr. Gentry joined the Company in 1981 and has held various manufacturing management positions within NN. He currently serves as Vice President and Managing Director of the Precision Bearing Components Division and will continue in his current capacity. Mr. Dorton joined NN in 2005 as Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer and will also continue to serve in his current role.
Roderick R. Baty, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer commented, "I am pleased to announce the appointments of Frank and Jim to the positions of Senior Vice Presidents. In his position as Vice President and Managing Director of our Precision Bearing Components Division, Frank provided outstanding leadership managing our global operations through a very difficult time last year. Under his leadership, the Bearing Components Division operations were consolidated globally by major product, which vastly improved the profitability and effectiveness of our core business unit."
"Jim, as Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer also provided excellent leadership during 2009. He was instrumental in managing the restructuring process of our credit facilities in March of 2009 and most recently in March of 2010, which allowed us the liquidity and access to capital that was so critical to our overall ongoing operations during the crisis."
Mr. Baty continued, "Over the last year, NN has taken a number of strategic actions across our global operations to improve our long term cost structure, promote collaboration among divisional management teams and create increased market responsiveness. While Frank and Jim will continue in their current roles, it is expected that they will assume additional management responsibilities at the senior most levels of our company going forward. These new positions will provide them the opportunity for additional interaction with the Company's Board of Directors, will streamline internal communications and will strengthen our organization's ability to serve the needs of our global customers."
