A memorandum of understanding was signed between Anchor Cell at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat and SKF Bearing, Pune here on Tuesday to start short-term training programmes for students and professionals.
The specialised programmes designed by the institute in association with SKF Bearing include vibration analysis, bearing failure and their causes, and bearing maintenance technology. "The programmes are designed focusing on industries in Surat and around the city. It will help the professionals working with different companies to improve their and companies' performance," said H B Naik of Anchor Cell.
Sumit Mitra, general manager reliability systems, SKF Bearings, was present along with institute director P D Porey during the event.
