Link-Belt to Exhibit four Cranes at Bauma 2010

Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company and its sister company, Hitachi Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Crane Co. (HSC), will be exhibiting six cranes during Bauma 2010, 19–25 April, in Munich, Germany. The 1,400 square meter Link-Belt/HSC booth is in the open area, FG 9-12, in booth 1105/2.

Link-Belt’s four models include the TCC-750 70-mt (75-ton) telescopic crawler, the RTC-80130 Series II 120-mt (130-ton) rough terrain crane, the HTT-8675 Series II 70-mt (75-ton) telescopic terrain crane, and the RTC-8065 Series II 60-mt (65-ton) rough terrain crane. The TCC-750 is a rugged, go-anywhere crane for the most challenging environments. The RTC-80130, with hydrostatic drive, is the largest RT in Link-Belt’s history. The HTT-8675 II features outstanding maneuverability and capacities with rugged simplicity. The job-proven RTC-8065 II is a workhorse that is simple to operate and effortless to move.

The TCC-750 has a completely sealed lower and hydraulically retractable side frames for easy transport and onsite flexibility. The retracted gauge, good for transport or work, is 2.6 m (8.4 ft). Two additional working gauges at 3.6 m (11.9 ft) and, fully extended, at 4.3 m (14 ft) add jobsite versatility. And depending on local restrictions, it moves in either one or two loads. The four-section, full-power greaseless boom is 11.6 to 35 m (38 to 115 ft) with a maximum tip height of 38.9 m (121 ft). Optional equipment includes a 6.09- to 17.7-m (35- to 58-ft), two-piece, on board lattice fly with offsets of 2, 15, 30, and 45 degrees. Maximum tip height with jib is 54.55 m (179 ft).

The TCC-750 is available with a Pengo hydraulic powered earth auger in two sizes: the RT-15 with a 293-cc (17.8-cu/in) motor and 20 985.3 Nm (15,478 ft/lbs) of torque, and the RT-20 with a 195-cc (11.9-cu/in) and 30 725.5 Nm (22,662 ft/lbs) of torque. A work platform is also available.

The RTC-80130 Series II transports in two loads with the main load under 42 637.7 kg (94,000 lbs) with the boom, both winches, three-piece fly, and tires attached. On a trailer, the load height is less than 4.3-m (14 ft) and, without the counterweights and outrigger boxes, is less than 3 m (10 ft) wide. Maximum boom tip height is 52.1 m (171 ft). The 3-m (10-ft) heavy-lift fly easily swings and pins into place and is integral to one of the on-board fly options. Alone, it has 22.6 mt (25 tons) of capacity and can perform a single lift with two load lines making it perfect for tilt-up work. The fly also offsets hydraulically up to 45 degrees.

The HTT-8675 Series II has super single tires and all wheel steer capability. AT-like steering modes—controlled by a standard keypad—allow it to maneuver effectively on the road or off. On the road, rear wheel steering improves tracking by turning up to seven degrees at speeds under 24 kph (15 mph). Off road, four steering modes, all wheel, diagonal steer, manual steer, and front steer make jobsite mobility easy. In all wheel steer mode, minimum turning radius is less than 9 m (29 ft) at the edge of the tire.

The 8675’s 38.7-m (127-ft) formed, greaseless boom uses Link-Belt’s patented latching mechanism known for its ability to telescope loads. The boom has four lift modes to maximize capacities. An optional two-piece, 11.6- to 19.5-m (38- to 64-ft) bi fold lattice fly and two optional 4.9-m (16-ft) lattice extensions give a maximum tip height of 70.2 m (230 ft). The fly offsets to 2, 15, 30, and 45 degrees.

The RTC-8065 Series II features an 11.6- to 35-m (38- to 115-ft), four-section full power formed boom automatically lubricated by Teflon pucks. An optional 10.7- to 17.7-m (35- to 58-ft) bi-folding fly attachment extends maximum tip height to 54.9 m (180 ft). Two optional lattice fly inserts extend the tip height to over 64.3 m (211 ft). The flys offset to 2, 15, 30, and 45 degrees. It transports fully rigged at less than 41 000 kg (90,000 lbs).
