FAG Bearings India announced a phenomenon drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 2009. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 46.87% to Rs 165.40 million from Rs 311.30 million in the same quarter previous year.

Net sales for the quarter declined marginally 4.16% to Rs 2,039 million, while total income for the quarter fell marginally 4.03% to Rs 2,057.40 million, when compared with the prior year period.

It posted earnings of Rs 9.95 a share during the quarter, registering 46.88% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 3.9, or 0.76%, to trade at Rs 517.15. The total volume of shares traded was 1,874.00 at the BSE (4.00 p.m., Thursday).
