GGB, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, has named Paul Sägesser as manager of its Swiss operations, replacing Horst Matzner who is retiring after nearly 30 years with the company.
"With his educational background and extensive industrial experience, I am confident Paul will contribute to our continued growth in Switzerland," said Gianni Borio, GGB’s industrial sales manager for Western Europe, to whom Paul Sägesser will report. "I also want to thank Horst Matzner, who has done so much to advance the growth and development of GGB Switzerland."
A mechanical engineer, Paul Sägesser brings to GGB more than 30 years of experience in industrial sales, most recently as a consultant to a number of European manufacturing companies. Previously he served as general manager of a plant producing machine tool equipment. For more information, e-mail switzerland@ggbearings.com or visit www.ggbearings.com.
