We avail of this opportunity to keep you informed of the following matter:
In course of year 2008 there appeared roller bearings with labeling ZVL Slovakia in the markets.
In the offered assortment the spherical roller bearings predominate and on domestic and foreign markets they are often mistaken as bearings from ZKL Group production supplied under ZKL trademarks.
In this connection the commercial divisions of ZKL Group are being contacted by persons interested in ZVL Slovakia bearings or by clients who have already purchased the said bearings in the conviction that these are in fact original products of ZKL Group.
In order to prevent similar substitutions and disinformation resulting from mistaken ZKL and ZVL trademarks we would like to present you the following explanation:
1. The traditional and original products of ZKL Group are marked by ZKL trademarks, which are registered at the Industrial Property Office (IPO) since the year 1954 (as can be seen on IPO web page http://isdv.upv.cz/portal/pls/portal/portlets.ozs.frm - registration Nos. 151740 and 152893.
2. ZVL trademark, which is used for marking the bearings production of ZVL Slovakia, is registered in the territory of the Slovakia Republic (see pages: http://registre.indprop.gov.sk/registre/searchForm.dolang=sk®ister=oz - registration Nos. 199620, 199499 and 199498).
3.In an increased extent the employees of ZKL Group are facing complaints of various breakdowns of installations with fitted bearings labeled as ZVL or eventually ZKL not produced in ZKL Group and coming from untrustworthy sources. In such cases ZKL does not undertake any responsibility for losses originating from damages in operation of the said bearings.
As a part of enhancement of technical level and competitiveness of ZKL bearings the modernization of produced types of bearings and regular completion of their assortment by new products are under way. The product development in ZKL Group is being performed by ZKL Výzkum a vývoj, a.s. company. The activities in research and development in course of last years are interconnected with creation of proper and functional system of technical advancement and support of bearings in ZKL.
This support enabled to introduce further new dimensional types of bearings in serial production of ZKL Brno, a.s. and of ZKL Klasterec nad Ohrí, a.s., as evident from the latest catalogue of production assortment. The newly introduced generation of bearings under denomination NEW FORCE is the result of research and development of the last period and will become the new standard of ZKL bearings.
At present the tests of ZVL Slovakia bearings are being performed in ZKL Group so that we can present the necessary information of the said bearings category to ZKL clients.
