Attendees at the Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) 2009 Annual Convention May 2-5 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Orlando, Florida, will include a number of the industry's future leaders for the first time.
As registration for this annual industry event continues, the association reports that a number of distributor members and participating manufacturers have accepted BSA's invitation to bring their company's future industry leaders along with the company's regular attendees to the 2009 Annual Convention. In some cases this may be a departure from previous BSA policy that limited convention attendance to those professionals with responsibility for a national marketplace. BSA Annual Conventions are the only annual networking program attended by the highest level executives from the bearing industry. Association leaders are particularly aware of the networking opportunities that offer the ideal environment for future bearing industry leaders and decision makers to begin developing the business relationships that will help their company prosper in the future.
By providing the opportunity for their future corporate leaders to develop business relationships with top level executives of suppliers and authorized distributors of bearing products and services, distributors and manufacturers are not only making the most of this year's convention networking, but also making a substantial investment in their corporate succession planning to transfer key business relationships to up-and-coming leaders in their companies.
BSA is the "must belong to organization for authorized bearing distributors." An international service and educational organization of distributors representing a total of almost 100 companies distributing factory-warranted ball-, roller-, and anti-friction bearings and invited manufacturers of bearings and related products, the association's mission says, "BSA is the forum to enhance networking and knowledge sharing and promote the sale of bearings through authorized distributors."
