The Timken Company (NYSE:TKR) today announced that it is supplying hot-rolled steel bars to Frisa Aerospace, a manufacturer of seamless rolled rings for applications in the aerospace, chemical and energy industries.
Based in Monterrey, Mexico, Frisa machines the 6-, 8- and 10.5-inch Timken® steel bars into mandrels. Mandrels are used to shape the rolled rings as they are being hot rolled and as a result need to be manufactured from high-quality grade steel produced by Timken. Timken supplies the steel bars to Frisa direct from its local warehouse and distribution center in Mexico. The distribution center, located near Mexico City, serves a wide range of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), distributors and aftermarket customers in the Mexican automotive, industrial and steel markets.
