Northern Kentucky’s Emerson Power Transmission is expanding with the addition of System Plast SpA, the company’s parent, Emerson Industrial Automation, said Tuesday.
Located in Telgate, Italy, System Plast produces engineered modular belts and custom conveyor components for the bottling, baking, food processing and packaging industries, according to a news release.
System Plast, and its 400 employees, will become part of the Emerson Power Transmission segment, according to St. Louis-based Emerson Industrial Automation (NYSE: EMR).
“This partnership not only enhances the global potential of EPT and System Plast, but it positions both companies for strong growth in key industries and will deliver significant value creation,” said Anthony Pajk, president of Emerson Power Transmission, in the release.
Emerson Power Transmission, headquartered in Florence, produces power transmission drives, components and bearings. The unit has 14 manufacturing and distribution facilities, not including the System Plast acquisition.
