Stepnogorsk Bearing Plant JSC has successfully passed the Quality Management System (QMS) recertification procedure for compliance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

The SPZ quality management system was first certified in September 2005. During three years SPZ passed the first development stage of the quality management system. In the course of the recertification audit, Lloyd’s Register specialists assessed the effectiveness of the system as well as its relevance both to SPZ’s manufacturing processes and customer needs. The audit plan included surveys of the main processes of most SPZ’s organizational units and current key indicators. In addition, the experts made use of the reports prepared following the results of previous audits of the enterprise. The approval scope remained unchanged – it covered the production of radial bearings with short cylindrical rollers.

During the audit it has not been found any non-conformity in the quality management system of SPZ JSC. The system has been acknowledged effective and capable of continuous improvement. Lloyd’s Register assessors have recognized the QMS of Stepnogorsk Bearing Plant compliant with ISO 9001:2000 and recommended to renew the approval certificate for another three years.
