Glen Ellyn, IL--The 2008 Fall Meeting of the Bearing Specialists Association (BSA), September 21-23 at the Hilton Suites Chicago-Magnificent Mile, Chicago, Illinois, will include "Introduction to Google Application Suite" by Kurt Layson of Google Enterprise and a follow-up presentation by Jeff Henkel of Applied Industrial Technologies discussing his "User Experience" with the Google Applications.
Google Apps bring together essential services to help business communicate and collaborate more effectively. The services are powerful, easy to set up, require no maintenance, and are available free of charge.
The program is sponsored by the association’s Information Technology & Supply Chain Committee, but all Fall Meeting attendees are encouraged to attend the presentation and no other meetings will be scheduled at the same time. BSA’s Information Technology & Supply Chain Committee is charged with keeping current with “advancements and improvements in information technology and distributor supply chain efficiencies” and recommends programs such as this that will “enhance knowledge, disseminate information, and improve efficiencies in the distributor supply chain.”
The rest of the schedule includes the regular meetings of all BSA committees, but committee membership is not a requirement to attend the Fall Meeting.
Attendees at BSA's Fall and Winter Meetings traditionally give the events high marks for meeting and exceeding their expectations. Participants say the compact schedule in a smaller, more intimate format than the association's Annual Convention offers an outstanding opportunity to network with industry peers in a casual setting and, they add, to help influence the direction the industry takes over the coming years.
BSA is the “must belong to organization for authorized bearing distributors.” An international service and educational organization of distributors representing a total of almost 100 companies distributing factory-warranted ball-, roller-, and anti-friction bearings and invited manufacturers of bearings and related products, the association’s mission says, “BSA is the forum to enhance networking and knowledge sharing and promote the sale of bearings through authorized distributors.” For more information on BSA or the 2008 Fall Meeting visit the association website at www.bsahome.org, email info@bsahome.org or contact the BSA office at (630) 858-3838; fax (630) 790-3095.
