SKF Appoints New Canadian President

The SKF Group announced that effective February 1, 2008, João Ricciarelli has been appointed president of SKF Canada Limited.

Ricciarelli has held various executive management responsibilities within SKF, most recently in Europe, where he was responsible for key account management and reliability systems sales growth. His background includes executive level strategic growth responsibilities, key account management and reliability systems division responsibilities.

Ricciarelli succeeds Jan Lindhe, who has enjoyed a 40 year career with SKF in several different countries, including the past 17 years as president of SKF Canada. Lindhe had told mromagazine.com in mid-2007 that he planned to retire around the end of the year.

Ricciarelli is only the seventh president in the 90-year history of SKF Canada. SKF Canada was founded in 1914 and has five operating platforms: bearings, seals, lubrication, services and mechatronics.

The SKF Group is a global and domestic supplier of products, customer solutions and services in the roller bearing, lubrication and seals businesses. SKF also has an increasingly important position in the market for linear motion, lubrication systems and reliability systems capabilities, supporting industrial customers with knowledge-based service solutions.
