Sizzling solutions for Ziegelwerk, Germany
Ziegelwerk Bellenberg has been developing efficient processing methods for the production of high-grade masonry - such as tiles - for 100 years.
Their products are primarily used in the construction of passive- and energy-saving houses, and the company has a leading market position.
After successful tests and continuous guidance by SKF - especially during the pilot period - the company decided to retrofit all 170 kiln trucks with eight SKF bearings each; 1360 bearings in total.
Ziegelwerk's goal was to increase service life and reduce costs. The standard deep groove ball bearings previously used had to be replaced every second year, and the high-temperature lubricant needed for these bearings was very costly for this application.
The SKF solution offers longer and better performance and reduced downtime, and eliminates the need for any type of lubricant and the staff hours spent in re-lubrication. Today, the SKF high-temperature bearings are still running without failures or any show of wear, with a life expectancy of four to five years.
The customer is very enthusiastic about the new SKF bearings, and of course SKF is pleased about the order as well as about having a satisfied customer.
