GGB Names New Indian Distributor
GGB, formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings, has named Durga Bearings Pvt. Ltd. as distributor for its line of prelubricated and self-lubricating plain bearings in India.
“Affiliation with Durga, a highly successful family-owned concern, dramatically improves our coverage of this vast and growing market,” said GGB President Bernd Fischer. “It has strong relationships with many of India’s leading manufacturers and supports virtually every industrial application for our bearings.”
Established in 1979, Durga is the country’s largest distributor of bearings for the machine tool, automotive, steel, railroad, defense, power generation, gears and mining industries, among others. The company is based in Mumbai with regional offices in Chennai and Delhi. It also has branch offices throughout India, including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune and Vishakhapatnam.
