Retailers are not our customers. We (SKF) are not selling bearings to them, but we are selling bearing through them. They are part of the family.”
As a part of distribution chain, retailers take an important role in generating sales. Along with our distributor, Citra Prima Gemilang (CPG), SKF Indonesia shared the knowledge to 10 major SKF Bearing retailers from East Java, who visited SKF Indonesia new factory, on December 8, 2006. They came from Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Pasuruan, and Mojokerto.
This short visit (only 1 day) has a lot of benefit for both of us. SKF got a lot of input about day-to-day market situation, and retailers got a “Knowledge Engineering Company” live experiences.
As a result of this visit, all of the retailers agreed to sign contract with SKF in term of quantity target for the next six month. They become more confident with our product and services.
It is not just our factory, which is expanding. It is also our distribution chain, especially for two-wheelers bearing.
