Update On Sales Process of Oy Ovako AB

The regulatory process in the selling of the SKF shareholding in the operating units of Oy Ovako AB to the Dutch-German group of companies is still ongoing and is now planned to be completed in the fourth quarter. As a consequence, the expected capital gain will materialize during the fourth quarter of 2006.



SKF's reporting of income from associated companies will therefore continue in the third quarter 2006, but is expected to be somewhat lower than the level in the third quarter last year.
