A renowned Korean gear manufacturer intends to purchase high-end 3- to 5- axis CNC hear hobbing machines from a Chinese machinery builder, Chongqing Machine Tool Group and the negotiation is currently underway, a Chinese source said.
Specializing in the production of gears, bearings, rear axles for automobiles and gearboxes, the Korean company is a major supplier of such Korean carmakers as Hyundai and KIA. In 2004, the company placed its first order with Chongqing Machine Tool Group, buying four units of YT4232CNC1 CNC gear shaving machines. Two more units of the same model were ordered this March.
Focusing on both the domestic and overseas markets, Chongqing Machine Tool Group has successfully exported gear machines to more than 40 countries and regions, including North America, South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
