RUE BMZ (Byelorussian Steel Works), in Zholbin, Republic of Belarus, previously invited Morgan Construction Company to participate in the modernization of its single-strand 150 wire rod mill. Today, the companies jointly announced they have entered into a contract.
According to Dan Morgan, Sr. VP and General Manager of Rolling Mill Sales, “This is the second contract received from BMZ in recent years and will include new equipment designed to improve the metallurgical properties of BMZ's finished product, while increasing the mill's production capacity.”
As part of the upgrade, Morgan will design, manufacture and install a pre-finishing mill, a Morgan Reducing/Sizing Mill (RSM), laying head, and a second compactor.
Previously, Morgan installed new water cooling and temperature control systems, a new compactor and ring distributor, and made modifications to the company’s existing Stelmor® coil cooling conveyor.
