Leading bearing manufacturer INA FAG has announced the appointment of Robert Globe to the position of Director and General Manager OEM and Service Division. This appointment marks the incorporation of the INA and FAG management teams following the recent merger of the two companies.
Before taking up his new post at INA FAG, Robert Globe had been general manager for FAG Sales Europe-UK for more than three years.
Globe’s plans for his new role at the bearing manufacturer are clearly defined: “Full integration of sales and marketing, engineering, internal sales and customer service are paramount to the ongoing success of INA FAG. INA and FAG customers have come to expect a high level of customer service as standard and we will work hard to ensure this standard is kept up.”
One of our first tasks was to create an integrated INA FAG field sales team to be able to maximise the combined strength of the new organisation.
“By combining the global resources of our two companies, INA FAG is now able to offer an extremely wide portfolio of bearing products, maintenance equipment and services as well as an innovative design capability from a single source. The challenge will be to search out new customers and applications where our design expertise can be used to generate interest in customised solutions. The combination of skills and experience gathered from both organisations will make INA FAG a formidable force in the marketplace.” The restructuring of INA FAG into a single operation will provide additional resource in marketing to support the business prospecting activities. A training programme has already begun to ensure that personnel across all departments operate to a single high standard and that customer demands are met with enthusiasm and dedication. 2004 will also see the relaunch of maintenance products and condition monitoring equipment in the UK.
Before joining FAG, Robert Globe spent ten years at BNL/Sarnatech. He is married with two children
