Erie Bearings Company (USA) has been awarded a position on Pennsylvania's Best Places to Work roster for the second year running. Erie scored in the Medium-Sized Company category (50 to 250 employees).
Founded in 1958, Erie Bearings is a supplier of bearings, power transmission, electrical and automation products. The company has eight distribution centers spread across Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania's Best Places to Work program is a, "survey, study and award program to identify the best places of employment in Pennsylvania for the benefit of the Commonwealth, its workforce and businesses." It recognized employers who, "demonstrate a strong commitment to their employees and to providing an outstanding work experience." The program uses the same process as Fortune magazine's 100 Best Companies to Work for in America award.
Erie was one of only a very few industry-oriented companies on either the Large or Medium Sized company lists, and the only industrial distributor to receive the honor.
