On Sunday gunmen kidnapped an Iranian diplomat, who was driving his car in the capital Sanaa, Yemeni officials said. Iran condemned the kidnapping.
The official said the diplomat armed men stopped a car and forced him into their car before speeding away. He did not disclose the diplomat's name or any further details, saying the incident is under investigation.

In Tehran, a Yemeni diplomat was summoned to the Foreign Ministry received a formal protest, Iranian state television reported. It said Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi called on Yemeni Foreign Minister.
