Halliburton company reported a second-quarter profit and revenue also fell, fell by 8% in North America, but the crowd out of Wall Street's expectations, and shares rose in pre-market trading.
Oilfield services reported net income of $679 million, or 73 cents a share, on Monday. A year ago, the profit is 1.737 billion yuan; Dollars and 79 cents a share.
Analysts had expected 72 cents a share, according to FactSet.
Overall income edged up 1% to $7.32 billion, $7.23 billion from a year ago, also exceeded expectations, even though 8% of its revenues slide in North America. Despite the drag in north American with revenues, are the best all the time in the second quarter.
