Athens, Greece Athens municipal police, angered a government program to include reduction in the number of civil servants and to meet requirements of international aid, has occupied the municipal building in the center of Athens.
Municipal workers, in the past two days, has been the major unions have called for a strike on Wednesday and Thursday to establish a career, and extend rolling 24-hour strike, the rest of the week.
Greece's international creditors on Monday approved the release of 680 one billion euros (about $ 87 billion) bailout loans, although the government missed the deadline to 12,500 workers in the non-voluntary transfer program.
Tuesday, the government announced the placing 4,200 workers - including school guards and teachers - pay less for this month's eight month suspension.
