LinkedIn recently released a redesigned mobile app for the iPhone and other devices running on Android software as the company moves to its more reason to 2.25 million account holders to access their online professional network servicesmore often and stay longer. If it can accomplish this goal, LinkedIn reasons, it should be able to sell more advertising and increase revenue.
Although the new application only been out for two weeks, analysts have to know if it is to attract more traffic and change the LinkedIn service. LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner discussed in advance to deal with the new application on Thursday in response to the company's first quarter earnings conference call on a problem.
Q: Do you upgrade your application's user interface significantly in the quarter. I want to see what you can see a result.
A: Yes. We mentioned earlier social gestures, comments, likes and that kind of stuff is up to 40%, orientation, I think, this is what we see on the market response indicates.
This is the highest-rated stand-alone application, we currently offer date, four-star, we see a very positive response. And its early days, you know, we just launched in the past few weeks. It is also worth noting that it is not only engaged, but the application's performance in terms of speed, material improvements, we have seen across the board - stream (content), Inbox, our search. So it's really just an across-the-board improvement, we have been very pleased with the market response so far.
