Halliburton said it in the first quarter loss of $1.8 billion, by 2010, the gulf of Mexico oil spill related litigation related fees. But it's money, if unusual projects were excluded, and beat Wall Street expectations.
Oil services company's common stock shareholders share of losses as 2 cents per share. By contrast, net revenue of $6.27 million, or 68 cents a share, in the same period last year.
However, after excluding one-time items, the company adjusted earnings in the quarter and 67 cents a share. Beat analysts' expectations of 57 cents.
Revenue rose to $6.97 billion. Analyst estimates of $6.88 billion.
