Phelps and Michael Jordan in the 12th Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational in Las Vegas, Shadow Creek kick-off. The winner is ... Michael, of course.
Phelps, that is. The world's greatest swimmer 73-72 win over the world's greatest basketball player. Phelps seems to switch golf late in life, try to make a respectable go to one of the rare athletes.
He and Jordan had never met before last fall, when they are connected to David Feherty Golf Channel recordings of programs during the Ryder Cup week. In this case, Phelps incomplete boiling wisecrack to meet his idol: "He is the greatest ... I know what to say." (Hey, we do not see the guy, because he is the most talkative person in the pool).
