Jerusalem (AP) - the Israeli defense technology company says it has successfully tested designed to protect commercial airliner anti-missile system.
El bit (Elbit) system company said Wednesday that the C - MUSIC system, in order to protect the large aircraft shoulder-fired missiles from the ground to pass the test. El bit (Elbit) said, it proved to be the effective protection of the Boeing 707 times.
In 2002, the militants launched two surface to air missile in the charter, shortly after taking off in Kenya Mombasa. This type of missile missed their goals, but stimulated Israel's efforts to improve the countermeasures.
El bit (Elbit) said the new system can be applied to any aircraft. It says, it integrated the advanced optical fiber laser technology, thermal imaging camera, in order to prevent from the ground to launch missiles.
