A Federal Reserve survey released Wednesday showed that all 12 Fed districts reported moderate moderate economic growth from July to late August . More good news from the automotive industry : General Motors and other automakers reported strong sales in August , giving the industry the best month in six years .
These data above , the Institute for Supply Management released Tuesday reported that U.S. factory output in two years, the fastest rise in August .
Japan's Nikkei 225 index edged higher 13,060.52 . Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.9 percent , to 22,531.24 . South Korea's Kospi index rose 1 percent to 1,950.62 points . Benchmarks in Singapore, Taiwan and Indonesia also rose.
Australia's S & P / ASX 200 index fell 0.4% to 5,143.70 points . Benchmarks in the Philippines and New Zealand are also low.
Investors also OUTLOOK Friday , the U.S. employment report will be released in August . Economists expect the U.S. last month to create 177,000 jobs and the unemployment rate held steady at 7.4 percent , according to financial data provider to FactSet .
Friday's employment report is the last major part of the economic data, the central bank decided whether to pull back its massive bond-buying program , the Fed will have to work . The program will keep interest rates at exceptionally low . While most investors believe the Fed will begin to pull back , this problem has become when and how much .
"In any case, the consensus appeared tapering September coercion , and that the Fed might get some help , this month's non-farm payrolls will start ," said analysts at DBS Bank Limited .
Wall Street stocks rose on Wednesday as good economic news. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 0.7 percent , to close at 14,930.87 points . Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 0.8% to 1,653.08 points . The Nasdaq composite index rose 1 percent , to 3,649.04 points .
Benchmark crude for October delivery futures rose 22 cents to $ 107.45 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange electronic trading . The contract fell $ 1.31 to settle at last Wednesday on the New York Mercantile Exchange $ 107.23 .
In currencies , the euro fell to $ 1.3192 from $ 1.3199 late Tuesday . Dollar fell to 99.76 yen from 99.70 yen .
