Mexican federal judge Thursday ordered the release of three generals and two other officers were charged with drug trafficking syndicate investigation, it was decided there was insufficient evidence against them.
Generals, Roberto · Dawe among Ricardo Escorcia and Ruben Perez, was charged with the Beltran Leyva cartel, gang violence has crossed the U.S. border smuggling tons of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana .
Has been former President Felipe Calderon's fight against organized crime, which pitted the powerful Mexican cartels armed forced to senior figures.
Retired General Thomas Los Angeles, announced in April, he also was acquitted for lack of evidence.
The case is seen as armed police corruption in Calderon's conservative management of the most notable examples. Calderon resigned last December after six years of power.
His successor, President Enrique Pena Nieto has promised to eliminate violence exploded under Calderon, and has taken an estimated 70,000 lives. He has not paid much attention gangs direct confrontation.
