Doctors Without Borders, said the rise in intellectual property rights to prevent the production of generic drugs to treat AIDS, and let them out of reach of developing countries.
Medical aid group said that India and other countries, generic drugs, old drug prices generally fall. However, the new, more effective drugs against HIV too expensive, costing up to 15 times more.
Patients are treated with a combination of three or four drugs, but resistance to these drugs requires a newer drug.
Tuesday urged the United States and 11 other countries signed the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations. The organization said that the agreement will increase the risk in the Asia Pacific region and access to medicines intellectual property rights.
