A seasonal pickup in job creation, helping to push the unemployment rate in Germany in June from 6.6% to 6.8% last month.
German Federal Labor Office said Thursday that 2,865,000 people registered as unemployed fell by 72,000 in the past month.
Seasonally adjusted number of unemployed fell by 12,000, but the magnitude is stable at 6.8%.
Europe's largest economy has enjoyed a period of relatively low unemployment, on the contrary, many other EU countries using the euro. Such as Spain and Greece have unemployment rates of over 25%.
