American Airlines pilots union representatives have been elected president of a full three-year term.
Allied Pilots Association said Friday that Keith Wilson obtained 2,715 votes, Tom Westbrook got 2,305 votes, the final selection.
Wilson became acting president in August 2012, when the union required by the Board of his predecessor David Bates, the pilot refused to resign after the labor contract, Bates support. Wilson Bates continues to support American Airlines and U.S. Airways merger.
Neil Roghair, chairman of the union negotiating committee, was elected vice president, Pam Torell was elected secretary-treasurer.
Union represents about 10,000 pilots.
American Airlines, AMR owned company is the nation's third largest airline.
