Nearly two dozen people who had only enjoy what the bill of a bachelor party in San Francisco Bay "floating wine tasting room is OK after their boat hit a shoal near Alcatraz (Alcatraz Island),and began sinking Friday night, officials said.
8:42 PM 45 feet hit the shallows around Neptune, and started to take on water, leaving a 1-foot-long hole in the side of the boat, said U.S. Coast Guard spokesman Lieutenant JG Josh Dykman .
The ship's captain tried to guide the stricken vessel to Pier 39 in San Francisco. But the ship began to rudder problems, and began to sink, about 300 feet from the pier, Dykman said.
The three Coast Guard boats closed all 22 passengers and crew of the vessel, and took them to the pier, Dykman said. Fire in San Francisco and the San Francisco Police boat also responded. No one was injured.
"We're only on board probably about 20 minutes," Matthew meters, the party's guest of honor, told KGO-TV. "We have been at my side the devil check it out, all of a sudden like prosperity, is like a big shock, and the next thing we know that the Coast Guard boat came to us."

The cause of the incident is under investigation. Sausalito shipyard will repair the damaged ship was towed. There is no report of pollution, Dykman said.
