Japan nomination Nakao Takehiko, Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs, to become the president of the Asian Development Bank.
Ministry of Finance, in the tail to succeed the current ADB President Haruhiko Kuroda Haruhiko Kuroda, was nominated to become Japan's next central bank governors the ADB president resigned with effect from 18 March.
Japan nominated president of the Manila area of the Philippines, the lender's position is ADB's largest donor. Kuroda's planned departure raised speculation that China may seek the opportunity to lead the bank.
Finance Minister Taro Aso (Taro Aso) said on Thursday that he believed, Nakao, 35 years, mainly engaged in the Ministry of Finance of Japan's monetary affairs veteran, is the most qualified candidate.
Taro Aso, said he expected the ADB President was elected "open, transparent and based on merit."
Kuroda, 68 years old, had previously served as Deputy Minister of Finance, Japan's top financial diplomat. Since 2005, he has served as president of the ADB.
Nakao Kuroda, is able to speak fluent English speakers.
The Government is expected to win parliamentary approval for the Bank President Haruhiko Kuroda, Japan's nomination, DC governor Shirakawa Masaaki step down on March 19.
